While it’s not difficult to satisfy the legal requirements, you should be aware of them and the required documentation necessary for your wedding to be legally recognized in Mexico and other countries, including the US and Canada.

If you plan a civil ceremony (the only legal ceremony in Mexico), you will need the services of a local civil judge. Since there are only a few in the area, their schedules tend to fill up rapidly, so it’s important to schedule a date and time well in advance. Your coordinator will be happy to do this for you.
